ZB Bank

ZB Bank Limited is the commercial banking arm of ZB Financial Holdings Limited, a Zimbabwe Stock Exchange listed group whose other units cover insurance, reinsurance, investments, property and wealth management. The business was the Netherlands Bank of Rhodesia, renamed Rhodesia Banking Corporation in 1972 and Rhobank in 1979, then Zimbabwe Banking Corporation in 1981 after the government bought the majority shareholding, with the holding company formed in 1989. The group adopted the ZB name on 30 October 2006, to coincide with its merger with the former Intermarket Holdings units.
